Autumn’s Muse

tamaracks_spruce
driving,
until even the gravel ends
in needled paths
immersed in worlds
boreal and arboreal
the evergreens are ever green
but the tamaracks are smokey gold
breathing comes as natural
as inspiration

the quaking aspen
unafraid
gracefully sheds its leaves
with each coaxing breeze
because to cling to life
that has already passed
would be to die
but to surrender
to the underworld of dormancy
ensures another rebirth

driving,
until even the gravel ends
a homecoming to the wilds
where there is no habitation
a fire amidst the firs
a hearth for my heart
but for the hand
that is not in mine
but I am ever green
and ever dying

So Much Loveliness

earth
From far flung cities
solitary composers
each transcribing the heavenly notes
of their transcendental hearts
their individual stanzas
woven together
within the Net of Indra
play together
like the tuning of the orchestra
a poignant violin strain here
a fanfare trumpet there
a melancholy oboe
a glissando harp
a sonorous cello
instills
a resonance
a reverberation
creates
a harmony
an arrangement
improvised and improbable
pleasing the ear
of the grand conductor
who feels no need
to raise his baton

Nazca Lines of Kazakhstan

More Than 50 Geoglyphs Discovered

More than 50 geoglyphs with various shapes and sizes, including a massive swastika, have been discovered across northern Kazakhstan in Central Asia, say archaeologists.

These sprawling structures, mostly earthen mounds, create the type of landscape art most famously seen in the Nazca region of Peru.

Discovered using Google Earth, the geoglyphs are designed in a variety of geometric shapes, including squares, rings, crosses and swastikas (the swastika is a design that was used in ancient times). Ranging from 90 to 400 meters (295 to 1,312 feet) in diameter, some of them are longer than a modern-day aircraft carrier. Researchers say that the geoglyphs are difficult to see on the ground, but can easily be seen from the sky.

Happy Equinox!

There is just so much Equinox energy to share! Enjoy the music that Laura has introduced us to…

Laura Bruno's Blog

Happy Spring to my friends and readers Down Under, and Happy Autumnal Equinox to everyone in the Northern Hemisphere. I’ve been so busy doing very Mabon-like things — harvesting, drying, canning, freezing, making sun tea, and cooking a vegan mung bean stew in the SunOven. So busy, in fact, that even though I scheduled today off for myself, this is the first chance I’ve had to sit down long enough to write a blog post. It’s a short one at that. Here’s a lovely music video I found to celebrate the Fall season, before I head outside to turn the SunOven and move masses of mulch. Wishing you all a beautiful, transformative day! Blessings and love … Laura

“Falling” into the Grace of You – Welcome Autumn Equinox

Tania expands upon the equinox theme wonderfully…

Tania Marie

There is indeed a continuum of increasing shifts and transitions taking place for everyone on so many levels, which brings us yet again to another seasonal transformation, both within and without.

Yes, Autumn is upon us, and that heads us toward a period of less “light out there” so that we find the source of true “light in here” – within you. This is a time to make friends with your own inner darkness and nurturing it, as this engaged healing integration is vital for soul growth.

It is time to face your shadow! To mingle intimately with it and immerse in its gooey depths. To face your darkest fears and retrieve back into you all of the projections and separation created, so that you can transmute it through the alchemy of your heart.

You can no longer – the collective can no longer – function without this integration taking…
